About Us

Founded in 1989 in Emporia as part of Williams Automotive, Williams Towing & Recovery began with a modest fleet of just three tow trucks. Over the years, our dedication to quality service and reliability has fueled steady growth — expanding both our fleet and our range of services.

In 2018, Clint Drake purchased the company and established Williams Towing & Recovery as an independent operation. Under his leadership, we’ve continued to grow, modernize, and proudly serve our community with 24/7 towing, recovery, and roadside assistance.

Today, our fleet includes a Dodge 4500 tow truck, two Freightliner rollback flatbeds, 25-ton and 35-ton wreckers, a 70-ton sliding rotator, and a road tractor with a Landoll trailer. We also operate two fully equipped service trucks for mobile repairs and tire changes — ensuring we can respond quickly and effectively to any situation.

Our services go far beyond standard towing. We provide vehicle recovery, load transfers, equipment transportation, and more. Whether it’s a light-duty tow or a complex recovery job, our experienced team has the training and equipment to handle it safely and efficiently.

In March 2020, we expanded our operations to include in-shop diesel repair, further strengthening our ability to serve the needs of our customers and local businesses.
